SERS offers educational events designed to help members better understand their benefits and plan for retirement. These sessions cover key topics at different stages of a member’s career and are offered in a variety of formats.

Benefits Basics Webinar

Our short webinar series, “Benefits Basics” is designed to focus on a few select topics that are important for SERS members to know.

The webinar will run for 30 minutes, providing a short educational session along with the opportunity to ask questions.

SERS Essentials for Retirement Success Webinar

If you are a member within three to five years of retirement, you may be wondering: what are the essential questions I should be asking myself right now?

We encourage you to join us for one of our monthly webinars. During this hourlong webinar, participants will first hear a presentation covering all the important topics and then wrap up with a Q&A session.

This live learning event is hosted on Zoom.

In the spring and fall, SERS holds a series of virtual Saturday meetings for active and retiring members. Members have the opportunity to ask questions of staff members and learn the latest information on retirement issues.

While conferences include group question-and-answer sessions, they do not provide one-on-one counseling. Members who would like personalized assistance may schedule a counseling appointment with a SERS counselor. Appointments are available Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

Members within two years of retirement will receive an email notification of the Retirement Conference schedule. All others may register using Account Login. Registered participants receive a Zoom meeting link one week before the scheduled virtual conference.
