Open enrollment is when SERS retirees review their premiums and benefits for the upcoming plan year.
The 2027 Open Enrollment Period opens October 1 and ends November 15.
2027 Plan Changes
Dental and Vision Plans
The current two-year dental and vision enrollment period runs through December 31, 2027. Fall 2027 will be the next opportunity for eligible benefit recipients to enroll in or cancel Delta Dental and VSP Vision coverage.
Aetna Medicare Plan (PPO):
Premiums, benefits, and prescription co-pay amounts remain unchanged for 2027.
Aetna Choice POS II and AultCare PPO
Premiums for the Aetna Choice POS II and AultCare PPO plans are increasing in 2027. Benefits and pharmacy co-pays remain the same.
SERS’ Marketplace Wraparound HRA
The health reimbursement arrangement (HRA) limit increased to $2,250 per family per calendar year from $2,200.
