The 2019 Open Enrollment period is now closed
Open enrollment is held annually, usually in October and November. Information is mailed to SERS health care participants in late September.
The open enrollment period gives health care plan participants the opportunity to review premium, plan, or benefit changes. All changes take effect the following January.
New in 2019
- Premiums are decreasing for most enrollees in the Aetna Medicare (PPO), Paramount Elite, and PrimeTime plans.
- The Medicare plan specialist office visit co-pay is decreasing to $30 from $40.
- Premiums are decreasing for Aetna Choice POS II participants but increasing for AultCare PPO plan participants.
- There is only one benefit change to non-Medicare plans: the emergency room cost-share is changing to a $150 co-pay from 20% coinsurance.
Learn more about these and other changes in your 2019 Open Enrollment Guide. You also can attend an in-person meeting OR register to participate in our November 8 webinar to learn about the changes.
Registration is not required for the in-person meetings.
