Direct Deposit Ensures Timely Payment of Your Benefit
You may have read in the news that the U.S. could begin seeing slowdowns in mail delivery as early as today as the U.S. Postal Service implements its new service standards.
While SERS mails paper checks one to two business days before the end of the month, we cannot guarantee timely delivery through the mail. The only way to ensure timely payment of your benefit is through direct deposit.
With direct deposit, your payments will be available on the first of every month. The January payment will be in your account on the first business day following January 1.
If you haven’t already signed up for direct deposit, we encourage you to complete the Direct Deposit Form and mail or fax it to us. Forms received by the 15th of the month will be processed for payment the following month.
