Medicare Announces 2026 Premium Increase

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)  has announced that the 2026 standard Medicare Part B premium will be $202.90 per month, an increase of $17.90 from $185 in 2025.

Most Americans’ Part B premium is automatically deducted from their monthly Social Security benefit. If you pay using Social Security’s Easy Pay program, your payment will be automatically adjusted.

However, if you pay your premium from a checking or savings account using an online banking service, you will need to adjust your payment to $202.90 before the January payment.
